Business Internet Banking

You don’t need any special software to access Business Internet Banking; just a computer and Internet connection. The service is available on PC and Mac computers, as well as mobile devices.

For the highest security level and smoothest access to our services, if your web browser is Internet Explorer 10 or an earlier version, you must:

• Use the latest version of Google Chrome for an optimal viewing experience; or
• Update your web browser to the latest version of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari.

To use Business Internet Banking, you must hold at least one of the following HSBC commercial accounts:

• HKD/Foreign Currency Current Account
• HKD/CombiNations Statement Savings Account
• Business Integrated Account

You can Enrol BIB (PDF, 733KB) via our HSBC HK Business Express mobile app then follow the steps in the registration guide (PDF, 853KB) to register your Business Internet Banking instantly. Or else, you may complete the Business Internet Banking Enrolment Form and return it to any Commercial Service Centre or send it to us by post. You will receive an activation PIN and a Security Device separately by post after five working days, as well as an authentication code via SMS.

You can activate your Mobile Security Key by SMS and email verification code or security device. You may visit the following website for more details.

You could consider replacing your physical security device by activating your Mobile Security Key directly for free and immediately use it. Ways to activate your Mobile Security Key under different scenarios:

• Security device lost/ broken/ run out of battery:
  Download and open HSBC HK Business Express mobile app. Enter your username, select the ‘Password and verification code sent by SMS and email’ option, then enter your password, SMS and email verification code to verify
• When you see [bAtt] is displayed on your Security Device after you switch it on:
  
  Please activate Mobile Security Key via HSBC HK Business Express mobile app when there is still battery in your Security Device to ensure your access to Business Internet Banking is not interrupted.

You can click Manage your contact information > to logon Business Internet Banking and follow steps below to update your email address.

Step 1: Select the email address you would like to update

Step 2: Select 'Yes' and 'Email' under 'Personalised Notifications'

Step 3: Input your email address and then click 'Save'

Note: Once you have saved your changes, you can choose your preferred notification channel.

The Payment Tracker displays the status of certain payments made in Business Internet Banking or the HSBC HK Business Express mobile app within the last 60 calendar days. The payment status will be displayed as 'Action required', 'In progress', 'Unsuccessful' or 'Completed'. A summary of all payment information (Payment date, Reference number, UETR*, Payment account, Beneficiary account, Amount, and Status) will also be displayed.

* The UETR is displayed in Business Internet Banking only.

Simply log on to Business Internet Banking, go to 'Payments & Transfers' > 'Tracker' > 'Payment Tracker' to view the status of your payments. On the Business Express mobile app, go to 'Payment Tracker' at the bottom of the Home screen. For more details, please see the Payment Tracker User Guide.
